Why Greenie?
Our mission is to create an engaging, all-in-one platform that makes contributing to society easy, accessible, and rewarding for everyone—not just those who are already highly motivated. By bridging the gap and reaching the 60% of individuals who care but need more external motivation or additional benefits, we aim to transform volunteering into a mainstream norm. Through gamification, community engagement, and diverse opportunities, we strive to hit the critical tipping point where active societal participation becomes the default, driving lasting change for a better world.

Greenie is the brainchild of two passionate changemakers: Bettina Szabo from Hungary and Nina Planinsek, both holding master’s degrees in Human Ecology.
With a shared dedication to fostering meaningful connections, Bettina and Nina combined their expertise to create a platform that makes volunteering more accessible for everyone.
Their mission? To empower communities, simplify the act of giving back, and create a ripple effect of positive change. Together, they’re not just building an app—they’re building a future driven by collaboration and compassion.

Rector’s Award – 1st Place
Selected as the first-place winner among the top projects at the University of Ljubljana.

We were introduced to mentors, and started personalized mentorship support during the incubation phase. We received the Jury’s Award at the end of the program.
Falling Walls Lab Austria – Finalist
Our project was selected in the best project and we had the chance to pitch out idea in front of the jury.
